Last night I started a new game in DF mode and started creating a humble little fortress after striking the earth.
Our world, Ceretecamade, The Infinite Realms.
After much deliberation and wavering, we decided to settle down on a nice, Calm piece of land in The Eviscerated Hills on The Continents of Swaying.
Our caravan sets down in the center of our new plot of land. We are joined by Mike, Brandon, Elf, Phoebe, Shay, Nicole, and Alison. Our 3 dogs and cats eagerly scout out their new surroundings.
Here are the list of dwarves and animals.
The cats waste no time making quick slaves of Brandon (Olon and Ast) and Elf (Olin).
We continue with a lot more mining down to 6 levels below. There's a lot of mining work to be done in a fortress.
What's this? It looks like we've already struck 4 precious minerals. Wow! Nice work Elf and Phoebe.
All that red text is confusing the heck out of me. It seems like the cats are injured while tring to move objects. On further inspection, it may be just a simple bug (missing descriptive text). It seems that the cats are just too weak to pick up what they want to move, they're not actually getting injured (or at least that's what appears to be happening).
Also, it looks like Shay has created a masterpiece. Amazing! This doesn't happen too often this early in the game (at least not for me). What that item was, I do not know, but I'll find out shortly. What does matter is that masterpieces are worth an atomic crap-ton of gold.
Towards the end of the first season, I had Brandon start working on some basic walls and fortifications in preparation to make our fortress walls stronger and keep us save from intruders. Traps will be next after the walls are up.
Those cats are at it again...and the season has changed to summer. Wonderful! However, we don't have any migrant dwarves this season, so we'll have to wait until the next to invite some more friends to help us out. Oh well.
Much thanks to the live stream viewers last night. It was a little boring at times when I couldn't remember which commands to do and where to find them, but it should get better now (or so I would hope).
You can find the pre-recorded videos our live play sessions here:

I'm still trying to figure out what the best time for streaming would be, so if you guys have any suggestions, let me know.
Until next time.
